Determination of compliance with radiation protection requirements |

According to law of radiation protection “Sources of ionizing radiation, radiation protection equipment, other facilities and materials, which can produce extra exposure for people, also products having sources of ionizing radiation inside, might be sold and/or used only in case if they are comply with radiation protection requirements”.
The procedure of determination of equipment compliance with radiation protection requirements are adopted by the Order No. 146 on 31 March 1999 by Minister of health. According to it, compliance of radiation protection requirements have to be assigned to these objects: Equipment used for saving or transporting sources of ionizing radiation. Equipment which generate x ray radiation; Equipment of radiotherapy; For open sources of ionizing radiation and radionuclides generators used in nuclear medicine and other branches; Measurements and control equipment, which use source of ionizing radiation; Calibration and revision equipment, which use source of ionizing radiation; Irradiation equipment; Linear accelerators; Electronic microscopes; Consumables which use source of ionizing radiation; Dosimetric, radiometric and other equipment used for radiation protection; Personal and collective protection means, used for radiation protection; Equipment witch do not have source of ionizing radiation, but itself is used with equipment, which use ionizing radiation; Chemical materials and extra tools which are used with equipment, which use source of ionizing radiation.
Compliance of radiation protection requirements is not applying to source of ionizing radiation if criteria of nonregular activity can be applied.
