Belgian radiation protection experts visited Radiation Protection Centre

     On 9–12 May, 2017 experts Isabelle Dumont and Benoît Deconninck from Belgian Institute for radioelements (IRE) and its subsidiary (IRE-Elit) visited Radiation Protection Centre (RPC) under the implementation RPC and IRE cooperation agreement 2017 in a frame to improve safety of nuclear facilities in Eastern and Central Europe countries and CIS.

Radiation Protection Centre participating in an international exercise EDREX 2017

     On the March 14–16, 2017 Radiation Protection Centre (RSC), at the invitation of Fire and Rescue Department (FRD), is participating in an international tabletop exercise EDREX (European Disaster Response Exercise) 2017, organized by European Union (EU) with Sweden, Italy and the United Kingdom consortium.

Radiation Protection Center hosts nuclear and radiation safety specialist from Republic of Armenia

     Mr. Vahagn Petrosyan representing Nuclear and Radiation Safety Center, which is Technical Support Organization (TSO) of the Armenian Nuclear Regulatory Authority (ANRA), started his International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) awarded Fellowship at the Radiation Protection Center (RPC) on the 20th of February 2017.

    Radiation Protection Centre (RSC) has approved State Radiation Protection Supervision plan for the third quarter of 2016 with lists of planned inspections of licensed entities, conducting activities with ionising radiation sources.

The experts of IAEA presented the nuclear and radiation protection infrastructure of Lithuania evaluation report

    The international mission of assessment of Integrated Regulatory Review Service (IRRS mission) is completed today. At the final meeting Mr Ingemar Lund, the head of the IRRS mission, presented the evaluation report  and provided to the Government of the Republic of Lithuania.
