Radiation Protection Centre (RPC) hosts representative of the Azerbaijan State Custom Committee from 2nd February to 3rd April 2015. Mrs. Arzu Najafova was delegated to the RPC by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) under the IAEA‘s technical cooperation Project AZB9007 “Improving Sanitary-Radiological Control over Transported Goods at Customs Border Check Points”.

Radiation Protection Centre (RPC) hosts representative of Bosnian and Hercegovina’s State Regulatory Agency for Radiation and Nuclear Safety from 19th to 30th January 2015. Mr. Armin Lagumdzija was delegated to the RPC by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) under the IAEA‘s technical cooperation Project BOH9004 “Building Capacity and Strengthening the National Regulatory Infrastructure for the Full Implementation of the Basic Safety Standards”.

Radiation Protection Centre (RSC) has approved State Radiation Protection Supervision plans for 2015 and first quarter and made lists of planned inspections of licensed entities, conducting activities with ionising radiation sources.

The scientific visit of Customs officials from Azerbaijan took place in Radiation protection centre

From 1st to 12th December 2014 three Custom officials from Azerbaijan under the International atomic energy agency (IAEA) technical cooperation project “AZB9007 / Improving Sanitary-Radiological Control over Transported Goods at Customs Border Check Points” improved knowledge in radiation protection in Lithuania.

Belgian radiation protection experts visited Radiation Protection Centre

On 3-5 December, Belgian radiation protection experts (dr. Jean Yves Balandier, IRE-EliT, dr. Vera Pirlet, Liège university) visited Radiation Protection Centre. This visit was organized under the implementation the cooperation agreement between Radiation Protection Centre and the Institute for Radioelements and its subsidiary IRE ELiT.

Radiation Protection Centre participated in the international exercises

Radiation Protection Centre (RPC) took part in the International Atomic Energy Agencies (IAEA) organized emergency preparedness exercise Convex 2d held on 25 November 2014. The purpose of the exercise was to check the preparedness of Member States joined to the Convention on Assistance in the Case of a Nuclear Accident or Radiological Emergency and the Convention on Early Notification of a Nuclear Accident, to respond in case of nuclear accident, which may affect many countries.

The scientific visit of Georgian radiation protection specialists take place in Radiation protection centre

Radiation protection centre (RPC) is hosting specialists from Nuclear and Radiation Safety Department of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources Protection of Georgia came with scientific visit on 17–28 November 2014 under the International atomic energy agency (IAEA) technical cooperation project GEO9010: “Strengthening the Regulatory Regime for Nuclear and Radiation Safety to Enhance the Inspection and Enforcement System”.

The EU Twinning project implemented by the Radiation Protection Center and the Central Project Management Agency in the Republic of Azerbaijan was noted as one of most successfully realized project

The EU Twinning project AZ12/ENP-PCA/OT/21 “Strengthening of radiation safety infrastructure and development of supporting services of the Republic of Azerbaijan” implemented by the Radiation Protection Center of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Lithuania together with Central Project Management Agency of the Republic of Lithuania, Ministry of Emergency Situations and State Agency on Nuclear and Radiological Activity Regulation of the Republic of Azerbaijan was noted as one of the most successfully accomplished project during the opening of the project of SIBA (Support to Institution Building in Azerbaijan), which was held in the end of September in the Republic of Azerbaijan.
