2012-01-20 Radiation Protection Centre took part in workshop of the project „Training Schemes on Nuclear Safety Culture for Managers“
On 17th and 18th January 2012 in Manchester was organized the 4th workshop of the project „Training Schemes on Nuclear Safety Culture for Managers“ (TRASNUSAFE). The workshop was organized by Dalton Nuclear Institute (The University of Manchester) according to European Commission (EC) funding the 7th Framework Programme. The Radiation Protection Centre (RPC) is one of the participant of the project TRASNUSAFE and was invited to take part in workshop using the web access.

2011-10-13 Ensuring of radiation protection in the project development process of premises
Radiation shielding and other protective means shall be designed and evaluated on the project development process of premises to protect the workers and general public from dangerous impact of ionising radiation used in various activities (medical and non-medical). The radiation protection requirements for such premises are specified in Lithuanian hygiene standards.

2011-01-24 Campaign for rolling up obsolete dosimetry devices containing ionizing radiation source
In order to reduce the risk of radiological accidents and to ensure public and environment safety against additional exposure to ionizing radiation, Visaginas and Zarasai cities announced a campaign for free pickup of obsolete dosimetry control equipment containing ionizing radiation sources from entities and individuals. Drawing attention to the importance of control of disused dosimetric devices from the radiation protection and radiological emergency prevention point of view, Radiation Protection Centre has initiated discussions with the responsible authorities in order to organize a similar campaign not only in Visaginas and Zarasai, but also throughout Lithuania.

2010-10-15 HERCA Approved European Radiation Passbook
HERCA (Heads of the European Radiological Protection Competent Authorities), the association of the Heads of European Radiological protection Competent Authorities, approves the content for a harmonized European Radiation Passbook which will be sent to the European Commission for its inclusion in the European BSS.
