General information
According the Law on the Radiation Protection and the Statute of Radiation Protection Centre RPC carries out the radiation protection state supervision (hereinafter – inspections) that ensures the proper implementation of the tasks assigned to RPC warranting occupational and public radiation protection.

The order of managing and organizing of state radiation protection supervision is determined in the Regulations on Radiation Protection State Supervision. The periodicity and types, planning and executing of inspections in this document is described. The detail inspection procedures are determined in the Manual on Inspections.

Main task of the radiation protection state supervision is to organize and perform the inspections of legal and natural person, enterprises, conducting activities with sources of ionizing radiation, and to estimate how they follow the requirements laid down in the legal documents on radiation protection. If during the inspections it is identified that the requirements of legal documents on radiation protection are not realized, appropriate administrative measures (practice suspended, notices issued, fines imposed) should bee enforced.
