New NPP
In preparation for construction of a new NPP, at the beginning of 2009 the environmental impact assessment report on planned economic activity “New NPP in Lithuania” was finally agreed, and a positive conclusion was provided on the new NPP construction feasibility. Under the IAEA supported project LIT/9/009, IAEA experts also evaluated the above environmental impact assessment report. RSC specialists took part in a seminar conducted during IAEA expert mission, where environmental impact assessment of the new NPP was also discussed.
